01. Beyoğlu is a municipality and district of Istanbul province. It is on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey, separated from the old city. The district encompasses other neighborhoods located north of the Golden Horn, including modern-day Karaköy.

02. Kadıköy is a municipality and district in Istanbul province, Turkey. It is a large and populous area in the Asian side of Istanbul, on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara. It partially faces the historic city centre of Fatih on the European side of the Bosporus. Fatih it encompasses the historical peninsula, coinciding with old Constantinople. It is home to almost all of the provincial authorities.

03. Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, colloquially referred to as Istanbul Modern, is a contemporary art gallery located inside the Galataport complex in the Beyoğlu. Istanbul Modern was Turkey’s first modern and contemporary art gallery and focuses on turkish as well as international artists. It is a private venture under the umbrella of the nonprofit Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.

04. Büyükada, meaning “Big Island” in Turkish, is the largest of the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about 5 square kilometres. It is made up of the Maden and Nizam neighbourhoods in the Adalar Islands, district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Heybeliada, or Heybeli Ada, is the second largest of the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, Turkey. It is officially a n eighbourhood in the municipality and district of Adalar, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its name, meaning 'with a saddlebag' in Turkish, in supposed reference to the valley between two hills.
